# Using MyWay without an internet connection (Offline Mode)

Planning your route and navigating to your stops when you're offline.

MyWay Route Planner lets you do a lot without an internet connection, but planning a route needs one. Here's how to get ready for working offline.

### 1. Plan your route when you have an internet connection <a href="#id-1-setup-your-route-when-youre-connected" id="id-1-setup-your-route-when-youre-connected"></a>

MyWay needs an internet connection to:

* Find addresses and add stops
* Build and optimize your route
* Update or reoptimize your route
* Import stops from a file, create reports and share routes

Do these steps when you have a reliable connection. Once the route is built and started, you can follow it offline: see your stops, mark them as done and add proof of delivery.

### 2. Download your area for offline navigation <a href="#id-2-download-your-area-for-offline-navigation" id="id-2-download-your-area-for-offline-navigation"></a>

In case you lose connection during your route, make your area available offline in your navigation app. Then you can still navigate to your stops as usual.

* *Waze currently doesn't support offline maps*

### 3. Now you can navigate through your route in offline mode <a href="#id-3-you-can-now-navigate-offline" id="id-3-you-can-now-navigate-offline"></a>

With offline maps downloaded in your navigation app and your route built and started, tap **Go** in MyWay: navigation works even without a connection.
