# Using MyWay without an internet connection (Offline Mode)

Planning your route and navigating to your stops when you're offline.

MyWay Route Planner can work offline and lets you do many things while you don't have an internet connection. However, some operations require an internet connection: searching for addresses, building and optimizing the route, updating or reoptimizing it, importing files, creating reports and sharing routes.

This is what you can do to make MyWay operate offline.

### 1. Plan your route when you have an internet connection <a href="#id-1-setup-your-route-when-youre-connected" id="id-1-setup-your-route-when-youre-connected"></a>

MyWay needs an internet connection to

* Find addresses and add stops
* Build and optimize your route
* Update or reoptimize your route
* Import stops from a file, create reports and share routes

We recommend doing these steps when you have a reliable internet connection. Once the route is built and started, MyWay doesn't require an internet connection to follow it: you can see your stops, mark them as done and add proof of delivery offline.

### 2. Download your area for offline navigation <a href="#id-2-download-your-area-for-offline-navigation" id="id-2-download-your-area-for-offline-navigation"></a>

If you lose connection during your route, make your area available offline in your navigation app. This will ensure that you can still navigate to your stops as usual.

* Organic Maps and MAPS.ME are made for offline use: download the maps of your area in these apps
* *Waze currently doesn't support offline maps*

### 3. Now you can navigate through your route in offline mode <a href="#id-3-you-can-now-navigate-offline" id="id-3-you-can-now-navigate-offline"></a>

Once you've downloaded offline maps in the app you have chosen and have your route built and started, you'll be able to tap "Go" in MyWay, and navigation will work even when you're without a connection.
